NOTICE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT
FOR THE CITY OF CROCKETT, TEXAS

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Crockett until 2:00 PM, May 3rd, 2018 at Crockett City Hall, 200 N. 5th Street, Crockett, Texas 75835, and will be publicly opened and read for the FOLLOWING ITEMS to be purchased by the City of Crockett. All proposals shall be made on forms furnished by the City.

Bid Items are as follows.  Bidders may choose to bid for only one of the items or for both items.

  1. One (1) 66” or greater Pad Foot Steel Drum Roller with push blade, with Canopy, 1,500 engine hours or less, 2005 year model or newer.
  1. One (1) 66” or greater Smooth Steel Drum Roller, with Canopy, 1,500 engine hours or less, 2005 year model or newer.

Guidelines for Submission of Bids

Crockett, Texas

Bids will be received at the Crockett City Hall, 200 N. 5th Street, Crockett, Texas on May 3rd, 2018 until 2:00 PM for furnishing:

  1. One (1) 66” or greater Pad Foot Steel Drum Roller with push blade, with Canopy, 1,500 engine hours or less, 2005 year model or newer.
  2. One (1) 66” or greater Smooth Steel Drum Roller, with Canopy, 1,500 engine hours or less, 2005 year model or newer.

SCOPE

Bidders may choose to bid for only one of the items or for both items.

All bids must be accompanied by literature completely describing the item to be furnished. If available, each bid shall contain a dealer and/or factory warranty as a guarantee of the product to be furnished. The guarantee shall be stated in the descriptive literature or by a letter.

The City’s intent is to obtain a reasonable bid from all interested bidders. Bids will be accepted for consideration on any make or model that is equal or superior to the equipment specified. If for any reason bidders are unable to meet or equal the specifications, the City will receive for consideration minor deviations of specifications. Deviations and variations of specifications must be fully detailed and explained and stapled to the BIDDER’S PROPOSAL.  Decisions of equivalency will be at the sole interpretation of the City of Crockett.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1) Bidders Information

The unit price of the bid must be stated on the Bidders Proposal form, along with the extended price bid. Unit price shall take precedence over extended price; written figures shall take precedence over numerical figures.

The items proposed are to be complete and ready for the use intended, and delivered F.O.B. 200 N. 5th Street, Crockett, Texas.

Each bid envelope shall contain Bid Proposal/s for one or both items requested and shall contain an entire set of specifications.

Each bid envelope shall be marked with the words “Sealed Bid”.

Bids submitted by mail, express courier, or common carrier cannot be accepted unless received by the City Secretary prior to the time for the scheduled bid opening. Bids submitted by fax or email cannot be accepted.

In comparing proposals, consideration will not be confined to price only. The City of Crockett will evaluate different types of equipment and any contract awarded will be based on a determination of which product best serves the interests of the City of Crockett when cost, product, safety, quality performance, standardization, and delivery are considered. The City of Crockett reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof.

Payment for the items awarded will be made BY CHECK, within a reasonable time after receipt and approval of each item and approval by the City Council.
